Summit was founded in 1986 by Lee Solomon and was first known as
Solomon Consulting Services . The company did well and grew
such that in January, 1990 became incorporated as Summit
Software Company. Mr. Solomon started the company with the
goal of providing quality software development services to business and
industry. His goal was not to be the biggest, but to provide the highest
level of service to his clients. 
In the early 1990’s, Personal Computer usage started to rise causing network
growth to explode. Due to this exponential growth, in 1994, Summit decided to
further expand its services to include Local and Wide Area Networking.
Summit has a highly qualified staff of software and network engineers. Over the
years Summit has successfully implemented solutions requiring every Information
Technology discipline. Summit's staff has extensive experience in all aspects
of project planning, development, and implementation.
At the beginning of 2005 it became evident that a name change was in order to
better reflect the full line of IT Services that Summit provides. After doing
business for 14 years as Summit Software Company the name was changed to
Summit IT Services. In February of 2005 the name became
official.
